America Makes Unveils New Online Capabilities Database

This week, America Makes is releasing to its membership The America Makes Capabilities Database, a searchable, online directory that provides information regarding the additive manufacturing (AM) capabilities of each America Makes member organization.

Accessible via the members-only side of the americamakes.us website, the new Capabilities Database provides America Makes member organizations with a one-stop tool for developing teaming, vendor, and customer relationships among our membership community.

Member organizations that are registered on the America Makes website have the ability to add or update the capabilities information of their organization at any time and are encouraged to do so on a regular basis to ensure the ongoing accuracy of the database. Any user currently affiliated with an online registered member organization has the ability to access the database.

In time, it is our intent to further grow the Capabilities Database to provide members a searchable, sortable view of the entire AM supply chain at large, including a direct link to the Senvol Database, a comprehensive, searchable database of industrial AM machines and materials. While these future enhancements include the collection and display of non-member data, the America Makes Capabilities Database will remain a members-only feature.

To help familiarize our community with the new Capabilities Database, America Makes is providing a tutorial, which describes and visualizes the steps necessary to register for access, use the database tool, and modify company-specific data. Any questions should be directed to Joe Veranese or Kevin Creehan.
